Burford is a medieval town on the River Windrush in the Cotswold hills in West Oxfordshire. It is often referred to as the 'gateway' to the Cotswolds. The local church, dedicated to St John the Baptist, dates back to 1175 when building work began and was complete by 1500.
Internally the church is very much a working building and most of the formal trappings have been replaced to meet modern day needs. These chairs instantly caught my eye for their symmetric pattern and texture.
