Batsford Arboretum, near Bourton-on-the Hill in the Cotswolds, is part of an estate that was once owned by the Mitford family. Throughout its history various owners have developed the land into one of Britain’s finest arboretum. In its modern guise the arboretum has an impressive garden centre but the key focus is still the beautiful grounds that contain many tree species.
Each year, in October, the arboretum is deluged with visitors coming to witness the display of autumnal colours. This shot is one of a series that looks at texture and ignores colour completely.
