Mud

Taken from the Old Church of St Nicholas at Uphill, Somerset, England. The church dates from around 1080, it stands on a cliff top overlooking Brean Down and the mouth of the River Axe.
This shot captures one of the smaller tributaries feeding the River Axe. The area has the largest tidal range in the UK which creates extensive mudbanks. Here, at low tide, the mudbanks are exposed in brilliant February sunshine - creating an image rich in texture.
