Life Preserver:

This is a shot of the old Kennebec River Life Saving Station. This river flows into the Atlantic on the coast of Maine, a landscape famed for rugged coastline and a mass of unique lighthouses marking the entrance to the many rivers and bays. Arriving late in the day this shot was taken from the beach with the tide at its lowest ebb, the sun was still an hour or more form setting illuminating sparse clouds in a classic American "big sky"
